Jack Roberts

Hi I’m Jack. After completing my undergraduate degree in Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, I discovered I could build on my clinical skills to help a wider range of people, and therefore decided to undertake a pre-registration MSc in Physiotherapy. After my Masters, I proceeded to complete my hospital rotations in a number of specialities, including Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Orthopaedics and Inpatient Cardio-Respiratory. My passion for Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy developed, and I then made the Leap to Primary Care.

Since establishing my First-Contact Physiotherapy role with WMP, I have completed an Injection Therapy course with the Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine and have recently enrolled in an Independent Prescribing course with Wolverhampton University. These additional skills will enable me to help a wider range of people with Musculoskeletal conditions at WMP and Wrekin PCN.

When I’m not working, I am a keen runner and cyclist and like to play football at weekends. I love to travel and experience new places and cultures but also appreciate the beauty of my home in the Shropshire hills. I enjoy spending time with friends and family

Our Social Prescriber - Emily

I completed my BSc Psychology degree and MSc in Forensic Mental Health whilst living in Nottingham, and moved back to the West Midlands to pursue a career in a mental health based role.

I currently work as a social prescriber across four surgeries in Telford, supporting individuals with mental health concerns, emotional wellbeing and wider social issues. I take a holistic approach when working with each individual and further signpost and connect them with additional services and organisations that may support them further.

Outside of work I enjoy meeting up with friends, going to the gym and for long dog walks with my two (very energetic) border collies.
